Biography
Christina Anne Barber, B.F.A., Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam
Christina Anne Barber was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She started her formal training at the University of Alaska Anchorage.In 2001, Ms. Barber received a scholarship to study at the Studio Art Centers International (SACI) in Florence where she spent a year studying drawing, painting, and performance art. Ms. Barber won a scholarship to study at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, where she completed her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in 2005. At the Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
Ms. Barber currently lives and works in New York, where she is completing her Masters of Fine Arts at the New York Academy of Art. She exhibits her work in the U.S. and abroad. A short list of her gallery venues include: the De Badcuyp Gallery in Holland, the Studio Art Center’s International (SACI) Gallery in Italy, the Salander O’Reilly Galleries in New York City, the Bancroft Collaborative Gallery in Pennsylvania and the International Gallery of Contemporary Art in Alaska. Ms. Barber is co-founder of Green Bee Studios in Anchorage, Alaska.
